Chiropractic Care is seen by some as involving uncomfortable adjustments, but advancements in our field have opened up new options and new ways to improve health and happiness. Our staff is a combination of medical experts and previous patients. We believe in what we do and in making a difference in the lives of our patients and their families.

That’s why we employ a combination of the methods below to improve physical alignment, nervous system function and overall happiness.

Gentle Adjustments of The Primary Neck Bone

Our main form of chiropractic care is the Atlas Orthogonal Technique. This focuses on aligning the first bone in the spine, the atlas bone. The atlas bone directly influences the other vertebrae and when it is out of alignment, the result can be stress on the nervous system and the spine.

We do this using technology developed at the Georgia Institute of Technology to apply directed sound waves to the atlas bone. The sound waves pass through the soft tissue of the skin, allowing us to make precise adjustments to the atlas bone.

Activator Technique

Similar to the atlas adjustments, we also use a targeted low-force impulse device to make precise, easy adjustments to targeted spinal vertebra or joints. This allows us achieve similar results to “old school” chiropractic care without the discomfort.

Neuromuscular Massage Therapy

For patients experiencing muscle spasms or soft tissue injury pain, we will sometimes employ this special massage technique. By focusing on the trigger point of the spasms or pain, we can relax the muscle area allowing for improved blood flow and the release of lactic acid from the area.

Flexion Distraction Technique

This is a favorite of many of our patients. Using a specialized table, we can use slow, controlled movements to increase the space between the vertebrae and help improve the movement of water and nutrients in the discs.

Sacro Occipital Blocking Technique

Using specially shaped blocks (or wedges), we are able to help realign the pelvis and other parts of the body. Patients lay flat as we position the blocks and make slow, steady adjustments.

Thompson Drop Technique

This technique also uses a specialized table to make easy adjustments. Here, we examine how differences in leg length point to misalignments in the back. Then using controlled movements, we make slight adjustments and recheck the alignment.

Bio-Energetic Synchronization Technique

This technique uses light-touch pressure point manipulation to rebalance the nervous system and other electromagnetic functions of the body. Recent studies have shown that this type of manipulations have an effect on the body at the quantum level (affecting what are called biophoton emissions or BPE).
